Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Abruzzo.
Carla has been a makeup artist for the last decade specializing in television. When working on celebrities that are on camera, it is important to use products that keep skin clear. Carla found several of her actors were breaking out from chemicals in mainstream foundations. She started using clean makeup on her actors and noticed improvements; however, there were still two major problems…. The coverage was too light and the brands on the market were not vegan. Carla decided if she couldn’t find what she needed, then she would create it. And she did. Her hero formula cache cream meets the needs of the film industry, but more importantly, was designed for you. The every day hero.
Has it been a smooth road?
Finding a manufacturer whose standards align with the vision of the company has been a challenge. Carla spent the better part of a year meeting with and weeding out the options until she found a perfect match: a PETA certified facility that meets EU compliance in the USA.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Carlucce Inc. – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What makes Carlucce’s hero product Cache Cream so special is that it is vegan. Many other nontoxic, clean makeup brands use beeswax. Cache cream is also unique in quantity for price. We offer double the product than our competitors.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Coming from Chicago, the most cliche way I can explain LA is that it has a vibe. There’s “a lux living while I can conquer the world, anything is possible” type mentality. Which keeps people motivated, whereas other places you become stagnant. That is the exact reason why I came to LA, and believe I have achieved that goal. Not knowing what is in store for you and the opportunities that can come from meeting someone at a coffee shop, is what motivates people and make the days go by with endless possibilities on the horizon.
With that being said, people in LA are always looking for the next opportunity and are not in fully living in the moment. I also love Chicago for the architecture, city living, and ‘Fireworks on Lake Michigan…’ Kanye West once said. To be on a boat looking at a beautifully sculpted metropolitan city leaves you breathless. And the snow, who doesn’t love a good snow storm in front of a fireplace on Christmas, or better yet a Saturday night.
